HANOVER, NH. –
Cydnie Timmermann and
Magnus Berge Styren won the slalom races on Saturday and the Catamounts earned five podiums including a women's slalom sweep to seal their second straight EISA Carnival win of the season. Vermont earned 948 points taking first place by 154 over the host Big Green. The Catamounts earned the most team points in seven of the eight races this weekend.

Timmermann made it a clean sweep of the Dartmouth carnival alpine races with a two-run time of 1:41.60 in the slalom. She won the race by .75 seconds led by one of only two sub-50 second first runs in the field.
Justine Clément earned her second runner-up of the weekend with a combined run time of 1:42.35.
Moa Clementson earned her first podium of the season with a third-place finish in a combined run time of 1:42.52.
Berge Styren earned his first career victory in the men's slalom with a combined run time of 1:41.86. He topped his nearest competition by .67 seconds.
Mackenzie Wood placed eighth overall, his best finish of the season, for the Catamounts with a two-run time of 1:43.56.
Kyle Alexander was Vermont's final scorer finishing right behind Wood .07 seconds later for ninth place.
Brenon Brattebo was the Catamounts top finisher for the second straight day Saturday. He placed eighth overall in the 15k Classic with a time of 42:13.2. St. Michael's Henrik Wist won the race by 16.9 seconds with a time of 40:50.9.
Finn Sweet was Vermont's next finisher, he placed 12th overall in a time of 42:26.6.
Owen Young rounded out the scorers for the Catamounts earning a 15th place finish with a time of 42:29.6.
Annie McColgan earned her second podium of the season finishing third overall in the women's 15k Classic. In the final 3.3k interval she had the fastest time in the field at 10:51.15. Her overall time was 53:10.7. Middlebury's Shea Brams won the race Saturday by an impressive margin of 1:04.1.
Marielle Ackermann continued her strong weekend placing fourth for the Catamounts in a time of 53:20.0.
Libby Tuttle was the Catamounts final scorer placing seventh with a time of 53:42.2.
The Catamounts return to action next weekend at the Williams Carnival. The Nordic teams will compete at Prospect Mountain in Woodford, Vt. on Friday it will be a 10k Classic followed by a 5k Skate Relay on Saturday. The alpine squad will head to Jiminy Peak in Hancock, Mass, with slalom races on Friday and GS on Saturday.
