HANCOCK, Mass. –
Declan McCormack stayed red hot Saturday, winning his fourth straight race in the slalom. The Catamounts earned three podiums from Jiminy Peak and both of their Freestyle Relay teams finished third overall as Vermont edged out Dartmouth for their third straight carnival win. The Catamounts finished with 846.5 points, just 3.5 points more than the Big Green.

Day 2 Results
McCormack had the only sub-46 second first run in the field Saturday posting a time of 45.59, .52 seconds faster than anyone else in the field. His second run was the second-fastest in the field and he won his first slalom race of the season with a combined run time of 1:31.41.
Magnus Berge Styren earned his second podium of the campaign placing third overall with a two-run time of 1:32.40.
Mackenzie Wood was the Catamounts final scorer, placing ninth with combined time of 1:33.18, it was his second top-10 finish of the year.
Justine Clement earned her sixth podium of the season placing second overall for Vermont in the women's slalom. Her two-run time of 1:40.36 was .15 seconds behind Middlebury's Mike Anne Reha who won the event. Vermont placed three additional skiers in the top-10 with
Moa Clementson (5th, 1:40.77),
Cydnie Timmermann (6th, 1:40.99) and
Hanna Larsson Nathhorst (8th, 1:41.68).
In the 15k relay, the Catamounts trio of
Owen Young,
Bjorn Westervelt and
Finn Sweet finished third overall in a time of 41:24.9 earning 96 team points for Vermont. Dartmouth won the event behind a time of 40:52.7 from Cameron Wolfe, Cooper Camp and Jack Lange. In the women's race UVM also finished third in a time of 47:04.9 from
Annie McColgan,
Libby Tuttle and
Marielle Ackermann. UNH won the event in a time of 46:15.2 from Hattie Barker, Lea Stabaek Wenaas and Lucinda Anderson.
The alpine team will return to action tomorrow for a slalom NCAA qualifier from Catamount Mountain in Hillsdale, NY. The first run is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. The Nordic team will next compete on Friday at the 2024 EISA Championships hosted by Middlebury.
