RIPTON, Vt. –
Declan McCormack won the GS on Saturday leading a contingent of five podium finishes for Vermont at the final day of the 2024 EISA Championships. The Catamounts claimed their 40th EISA title with 943 points, 66.5 points ahead of the Big Green.

RECAP
McCormack completed the EISA Championship alpine sweep with a two-run time of 1:56.21. He had the fastest first run time in the field at 46.64.
Kyle Alexander was the Catamounts next scorer placing fourth overall in a time of 1:56.80, it was his second top-five of the season.
Magnus Berge Styren was fifth overall in a combined run time of 1:57.35.
Diego Holscher also earned a top-ten place finishing seventh overall (1:57.58). Vermont earned 130 team points in the GS, most in the field.
The women also had a great day on the slopes with five skiers in the top-five in the GS.
Ella Renzoni finished second overall with a two-run time of 2:03.25. She had the fastest second run in the field at 1:03.18. Dartmouth's Olivia Holm won the event with a combined run time of 2:02.67.
Hanna Larsson Nathhorst was third overall, earning her fifth podium of the season, in a time of 2:03.43. Justine Clement was the Catamounts final scorer placing fifth in a two-run time of 2:03.49.
Moa Clementson (6th, 2:03.67) and Linn Liedholm (8th, 2:04.00) also earned top-ten finishes for Vermont. It was Liedholm's first career top-ten. Like the men the women earned 130 team points in the GS, most in the field.
Haley Brewster finished second overall for Vermont in the 20k Classic from the Rikert Nordic Center. Her time of 57:56.9 was bested by 5.4 seconds by Dartmouth's Ava Thurston.
Libby Tuttle was 10th in a time of 59:26.8, picking up her ninth top-10 of the season.
Annie McColgan was the Catamounts final scorer of the day placing 15th in a time of 1:00:34.4.
In the men's 20k Classic
Finn Sweet earned his sixth podium of the season with a third-place finish in a time of 50:15.9. Dartmouth's John Steel Hagenbuch won the race in a time of 50:03.1.
Bjorn Westervelt was UVM's next scorer placing eighth overall in a time of 50:58.0, it was his third straight top-ten finish.
Benon Brattebo was the Catamounts final scorer of the day placing 11th overall in a time of 51:17.7.
The Catamounts will return to action March 6-9 at the 2024 NCAA Skiing Championships in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Alpine races will be at Steamboat Resorts' Mount Werner while Nordic will be contested at Howelsen Hill. Action will get underway on Wednesday, March 6 with the GS, all the action during the week will be streamed live for free on NCAA.com.
