SKIING NOTEBOOK
The fourth carnival of the EISA campaign begins this weekend in Hanover as a part of the 114th annual Dartmouth Winter Carnival. After claiming the Harvard Carnival last weekend by 103.5 points UVM will look to ride their momentum into New Hampshire. The Nordic squad will compete at the Oak Hill Outdoor Center while alpine action will be hosted at the Dartmouth Skiway.

CATAMOUNTS DOMINATE NCAA QUALIFIER THURSDAY
The alpine team was in action today from the Dartmouth Skyway competing in an GS race that served as an NCAA Qualifier following the postponed Vermont Carnival races. Although it wasn't UVM's home course, the Catamounts were dominant. The men's and women's team swept the podiums. On the men's side, it was
Declan McCormack (1:53.53) picking up the win followed by
Kyle Alexander (1:53.83) and
Diego Holscher (1:54.05).
Hanna Larsson Nathhorst (1:57.41) won the women's race followed closely by teammates Justine Clement (1:58.72) and
Ella Renzoni (1:59.07).

BREWSTER WINS SILVER MEDAL AT U23 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN SLOVENIA
Junior
Haley Brewster continued her excellent 2024 campaign at the U23 World Championships in Planica, Slovenia Thursday. Competing in the 20k mass start skate race she earned her first career U23 silver medal with a time of 48:59.9 On Tuesday she finished 13th in the skate sprint.

On the race, "It was definitely pretty fun," said Brewster. "It was very warm and the best part was getting to ski with Novie (US teammate)!"

LARSSON NATHHORST NAMED EISA ALPINE SKIER OF THE WEEK
Hanna Larsson Nathhorst was named EISA's female Alpine Skier of the Week following her two podiums at the Harvard Carnival. She finished second in the slalom on Friday and then third in the GS on Saturday. She now has three EISA podiums on the year.

LAST TIME AT THE DARTMOUTH CARNIVAL
The last edition of the Dartmouth Carnival was in February of 2022, Vermont won the carnival with 951 points, 154 more than Dartmouth.
Moa Clementson won the slalom for the Catamounts and
Cole Palchak earned his first career top-10 in the GS.
Bjorn Westervelt was fourth in the 10k Freestyle.
