STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. – On the first day of Nordic competition at the 2024 NCAA Skiing Championships
Haley Brewster earned First Team All-American honors for the first time in her career as she placed second in the 7.5k Freestyle from Howelsen Hill. After the second day of competition UVM sits in sixth place with 167 points. Utah continues to lead with 312.5 points, they hold a 56-point lead over the host Colorado at the halfway point.

Brewster placed second for Vermont with a time of 22:29.3 continuing her remarkable season. Utah's Sydney Palmer-Leger won the third national title of her career with a time of 22:08.2.
Libby Tuttle placed 18th for the Catamounts in a time of 23:47.9, while
Annie McColgan was 28th in a time of 24:24.9.
Bjorn Westervelt placed 22nd overall for the Catamounts in the 7.5k Freestyle with a time of 20:42.3. Dartmouth's John Hagenbuch won the national title with a time of 19:09.2, clearing the field by a full 11 seconds.
Finn Sweet earned four team points for Vermont placing 27th overall with a time of 21:34.0.
Benon Brattebo placed 34st overall with a time of 21:49.9.
The alpine portion of the Championships will wrap up tomorrow night with the men's and women's slalom under the lights from Howelsen Hill from Whiteface Mountain. The action will be streamed live on NCAA.com starting at 8:40 p.m. (ET) at
