WILMINGTON, N.Y. – On Friday afternoon, the UVM Alpine team wrapped up day two of the St. Lawrence Carnival from Whiteface Mtn, competing in the slalom. The Alpine women tallied 128 points, the most overall, while the Alpine men finished second overall (116), just two points behind Dartmouth. Cydnie Timmerman led the women, winning the slalom outright, while
Felix Lindenmayer secured his first podium result of the season, placing third. Overall, Vermont finished the carnival in second place, with 869 total points, just four points behind carnival winner, Dartmouth (873). New Hampshire rounded out the top three, finishing third with 762.5 total points.

St. Lawrence Carnival (Alpine) Day Two Results
The Alpine men kicked off the day racing the slalom, with four out of six skiers finishing in the top 20. Lindenmayer placed third with a two-run time of 1:27:39, his personal best finish as a Catamount. Lindenmayer earned 44 crucial EISA points to lift the team.
Magnus Berge Styren finished fourth with a two-run time of 1:27:44, earning 41 EISA points.
Oskar Gillberg placed ninth with a two-run time of 1:28:08 and earned 31 EISA points for the team.
The women's Alpine team wrapped up the day skiing the slalom with three racers in the top 10 of finishers. Timmerman was the standout UVM racer, placing first with a two-run time of 1:33:34 and earning the team 50 EISA points. First-year
Kendahl Roufa placed fourth with a two-run time of 1:34:75 and earned 41 EISA points, notching a personal best as a Catamount. First-year
Sara Stiel placed sixth with a two-run time of 1:34:95 and earned 37 EISA points for the team, finishing the St. Lawrence Carnival with back-to-back top six results.
The Alpine team returns to the slopes in one week (Jan. 30), for the Dartmouth Carnival from Dartmouth Skiway in Lyme, N.H. The Nordic team will also be competing at the Dartmouth Carnival (Jan. 30) from Oak Hill. Day one of the carnival will include the GS for Alpine and the 7.5k CL Int. race for Nordic.
