HANCOCK, Vt./RIPTON, Vt. - On Saturday Morning, Day Two of the Middlebury Carnival began from Snow Bowl Mtn. and Rikert Outdoor Center. The men's and women's Nordic teams competed in the 20k FR Mass start race, while the Alpine squads competed in the Slalom. UVM finished third overall with 776 points after Day Two of competition. Two Catamounts placed on the podium, including
Haley Brewster (first) for Nordic and
Cydnie Timmermann (second) for Alpine. Dartmouth placed first overall with 982.5 points after two days of Competition.

The Men's Nordic team kicked off Day Two competing in the 20k FR Mass start race. Two skiers raced for the Catamounts—
Tabor Greenberg and
Campbell McLaren. Greenberg placed ninth with a run-time of 50:49.6 and 35 EISA points. McLaren placed 40th with a run time of 55:06.9 and 13 points.

The Women's Nordic team placed second in the 20k FR Mass start race with 115 points and five skiers in the top 20 of finishers. Brewster placed first to continue her podium streak (11), with a run time of 54:14.7 and earned 50 EISA points, her fifth EISA victory on the campaign.
Molly Moening finished seventh with a run time of 55:12.2 and 35 points, a personal season best finish.
Lena Poduska placed tenth with a run time of 55:26.3 and 30 EISA points, her sixth top ten finish on the year.

On the Alpine slopes, The Women's squad finished fourth with 100 points. Timmermann placed second in back-to-back days, with a two-run time of 1:38.61 and 47 EISA points.
Kendahl Roufa was the next Catamount finisher, in eighth, with a two-run time of 1:39.83 and 33 points. Sara Margherita placed 25th with a two-run time of 1:41.54 and 20 points for the team.

The men's Alpine team finished Day One in fourth with 81 points in the slalom. Vermont's best finisher was
Oskar Gillberg, placing seventh with a two-run time of 1:40.45 and 35 EISA points.
Magnus Berge Styren was the next Vermont finisher in 19th with a two-run time of 1:41.13 and 24 EISA points.
Felix Lindenmayer placed 21st with a two-run time 1:41.47 and 22 points for the team.

The Catamounts will be back in action in two weeks (Mar. 11) for the NCAA Championships from the Spencer F. Eccles Olympic Mountain Center in Park City, Utah and the Soldier Hollow Nordic Center in Wasatch County, Utah. The championships will span over four days of competition, with the GS on Day One (Alpine), 7.5k Cl on Day Two (Nordic), Slalom on Day Three (Alpine), and 20k Fr. on Day Four (Nordic). The start times will be announced on UVMAthletics and UVMSkiing social media once released (All times subject to change).
