BURLINGTON, Vt. - Vermont (4-1) travels to Fairfield, Conn., to face Fairfield (3-3, 0-1 CAA) on Sunday, Sept. 20, at noon on University Field. The school's YouTube channel will stream the game. The Catamounts enter the match following a 9-0 victory over LIU on Sept. 11, tying the program record for most goals scored in a game.

Gloria Allen earned America East Defensive Player of the Week honors after scoring a goal and dishing out an assist for three points against LIU.Â

Isi McMahon ranks first in the America East with 10 points this season after collecting five in Vermont's 9-0 victory over LIU. She is averaging 2.0 points per game.

Vermont leads the America East in goals (4.40 per game), assists (4.40), and goals-against average (1.40).

This will mark the 20th all-time match between the Catamounts and Stags. Vermont is looking to get their first win against Fairfield since 2007, when they defeated the Stags, 3-0, on Moulton Winder Field.Â
SCOUTING THE STAGS

Fairfield was selected third in the 2026 CAA preseason field hockey coaches' poll, earning 31 points and one first-place vote.

The Stags had two seniors who were named to the All-CAA Preseason team, Noor Hellemans and Catalina Ness, while Konni Hofmann earned honorable mention.

Fairfield currently ranks fourth in the CAA standings with a 3-3 record. The Stags dropped their lone conference match to Drexel, 2-1, on Friday, Sept. 18.

The Stags have recorded three defensive saves this season, which places them tied for sixth nationally.
FIELD HOCKEY ALUMNI WEEKEND
UVM Field Hockey Alumni Weekend will take place from Friday, Oct. 9, through Sunday, Oct. 11. Throughout the weekend, there will be opportunities to cheer on Team 48 for two games, enjoy coffee and breakfast with the team, participate in an alumni scrimmage, and reconnect with former teammates and coaches at a happy hour.
