BURLINGTON, Vt. - Vermont (2-0) will look to continue its hot start to the season as it travels to Ann Arbor, Mich., for two contests against Kent State (0-2) and No. 8 Michigan (1-1) this weekend. The Catamounts will face Kent State on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 2 p.m., followed by a matchup against Michigan on Sunday, Sept. 6, at 2 p.m. Saturday's game will not be broadcasted, while Sunday's game will be available to watch on B1G+. Both games will be played at Phyllis Ocker Field.
Head Coach Kate Pfeifer returns to her alma mater, where she enjoyed a stellar career from 2000 to 2004 and anchored one of the nation's strongest defensive units. As a Wolverine, Pfeifer won four Big Ten Championships and made four NCAA Tournament appearances, including a National Championship in 2001 and Final Four appearances in 2001 and 2003. Michigan's 2001 National Championship marked the first NCAA title won by a women's team in University of Michigan athletics history.
