Tess O'Brien has been named the America East Field Hockey Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday.
O'Brien tallied a combined three goals in games against Fairfield and Holy Cross this past week. The Wolfeboro, New Hampshire native collected her first career scores with a pair of goals versus Fairfield on Friday. Two days later against Holy Cross, O'Brien registered Vermont's second goal of the contest to help the Catamounts secure a 2-0 victory. O'Brien is the fourth UVM player to earn rookie of the week honors this season.
