NEWRY, Maine – The Catamounts racked up 820 points at the NCAA Regional Championship, hosted at Sunday River, for a second-place team finish. Dartmouth won the event with 896 points.

Vermont had two racers land on the podium in the women's slalom race.
Paula Moltzan won the event with a combined time of 1:49.24.
Laurence St. Germain took second place behind Moltzan at 1:49.60. In the men's slalom race, a pair of Cats posted a top-five finish.
Will St. Germain placed second overall with a time of 1:52.43 and
Max Roeisland followed in fourth place at 1:53.03.
Juri Miosga paced the green and gold in the men's 20K freestyle mass start in sixth place after crossing the line at 52.12.9.
Karl Schulz grabbed an 11th-place finish at 52:53.1 and
Henry Harmeyer earned a 13th-place bid at 53:06.02. In the women's 15K freestyle mass start,
Iris Pessey led UVM in 16th place with a time of 47:16.2 and
Alayna Sonnesyn added a 21st-place showing for Vermont at 47:55.3.
Vermont will compete in the NCAA Championships from March 8-11 in Franconia, New Hampshire. The Alpine National Championship will take place at Cannon Mountain and the Nordic National Championship will be held at Jackson Touring Center.
