BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association accounted its Division I All-Region teams last week. Sophomores
Alina Gerke and
Sophia Drees both were named to the All-Northeast Second Team.

Vermont's leading scorer this season, Drees finished the year with year with five goals and 12 assists – the second-most in a single season in program history. She ranked 12th in the country in assists per game and was selected to the America East All-Conference First Team. She also accounted for three game-winning goals giving her six in her two seasons as a Catamount.
Gerke followed up an All-Rookie season in 2021 with an All-Conference First Team run in 2022. She wrapped up the season with a team-high seven goals and five assists for 19 points. She fired home a pair of game-winning goals – one in double overtime at Colgate and one against Dartmouth. Gerke ranked fifth in the league with 3.24 shots per game.
In total, 160 student-athletes were honored across five regions.
