TRACK & FIELD NOTEBOOK
Vermont track & field begins the 2022 indoor season with a pair of meets this weekend, starting with the Sharon Colyear Invite on Saturday (Dec. 3) at 10 a.m. in Boston. The Catamounts will also visit conference foe UNH on Sunday (Dec. 4) at 12 p.m. in Durham, N.H.

CATS AT BU
The Catamounts return to the BU Track & Tennis Center for the first time since closing out the indoor campaign there a season go. Vermont's last two indoor meets were on the campus of Boston University, and saw some impressive performances. Notably,
Sonia John set the school record in the 400-meter dash at the America East Championships. She was one of six Catamounts to earn All-Conference marks.

INDOOR ALL-CONFERENCE
UVM returns three members who earned All-Conference honors at last year's indoor championships.
Lauren Triarsi took second in the pentathlon,
Alex Warner placed third in the 500-meter dash, and
Jane Leighton was third in the 3000-meter run at the 2022 America East Indoor Championships.

BEEN A WHILE
The Catamounts compete at indoor meet at New Hampshire for the first time since Jan. 25, 2020. That competition saw
Zane Reservitz earn a victory in the 800-meter run.
Andie Cornish also won a raced, earning the top spot in the 1000-meter run.

MEN'S CAPTAINS
Chike Asanya,
Andrew Crompton,
Kevin Mills, and
Steven O'Driscoll have been chosen by the team as captains for the 2022-23 season. Asanya and Crompton are captains for the second consecutive season, while O'Driscoll served as a captain for the men's cross country squad in the fall. Mills will serve as a captain for the first time in his career.

Andie Cornish,
Jane Leighton,
Abby Martin, and
Lauren Triarsi have been selected as captains for the 2022-23 season. Leighton, Cornish, and Churchill all served as captains for the women's cross country team in the fall. Martin and Triarsi will serve as first-time captains for the Catamounts. Â Â Â Â

BEFORE BREAK
UVM will be in action at a pair of meets next weekend for its final competition before Winter Break. The Catamounts will split off into the Beacon Invite at New Balance Track, as well as a trip to Dartmouth. Both meets will be on Dec. 10.7

GLANCE AHEAD
Vermont will compete in 14 meets this season, including three in the Green Mountain State. The Catamounts will travel three times to Middlebury College, starting on Jan. 14.
