FRANCONIA NOTCH/JACKSON, NH. – Justine Clément won the giant slalom race outright and
Hanna Larsson Nathhorst secured silver finishing in second place during the giant slalom as Vermont wrapped up day one of the EISA Championships hosted by UNH in third place with 392 total points. Dartmouth currently leads with 515 points and Middlebury sits in second with 401 total points.

Day 1 Results
The Alpine team competed in Franconia Notch, NH from the Mittersill in the giant slalom race, seeing the women secure the most points out of every school on day one and the men finish with the third most points. Clement won the race outright with a two-run time of 2:17.36, securing her second won race of the season
. Larrson Nathhorst earned silver, finishing in second place with a two-run time of 2:17.50. Clement and Larrson Nathhorst each finished their first runs tied for the fastest time, racing a time of 1:10.86 during their opening run.
Cydnie Timmermann added crucial EISA points for the Catamounts finishing in 11th place with a two-run time of 2:19.60.
On the men's side of the slopes,
Mackenzie Wood raced to a team best fifth place finish with a two-run time of 2:14.39, securing his fifth straight race placing in the top five and seventh time in his last eight races.
Oskar Gillberg notched his second-best finish on the season, skiing to 11th place with a two-run time of 2:15.16.
Men's and women's Nordic competed in a 7.5km Individual Classic start in Jackson, NH from the Jackson XC, seeing
Finn Sweet race to a team best fifth place finish on the men's side, skiing a time of 19:51.00. It's Sweet's second consecutive race finishing in the top five, third time this season.
On the women's side of the Nordic race,
Annie McColgan notched a team best fourth place finish, racing a time of 22:11.30. It's McColgan's fourth race this season placing in the top five.
Day two of the 2025 EISA Championships and UNH Carnival concludes tomorrow (Feb. 22) when men's and women's alpine competes in the slalom in Franconia, NH. from the Mittersill while Nordic wraps up with a 15km Freestyle Mass Start from Jackson, NH. at the Jackson XC. Women's Alpine's slalom first run is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. followed by the men's first run at 10:20 a.m. On the Nordic side, the women compete in the 15km Freestyle Mass Start first at 10 a.m. followed by the men at 12 p.m.
