Heidi Allen Gregorski 1994 - Gymnastics
A 2004 UVM Hall of Fame inductee, Heidi Allen Gregorski was a winner of the J. Edward Donnelly Award in 1994 as UVM's top female senior student-athlete, as well as the first and only Catamount women's gymnast to qualify for the NCAA regional and national championship.
The most decorated gymnast in UVM history, Gregorski graduated in 1994 as the school's all-time record-holder in four of the five events. She nailed a near-perfect 9.95 in the vault, had a 9.5 on the balanced beam, a 9.8 in the floor exercise and a 38.2 all-around (out of a perfect 40). Ten years later, she remains the school's top performer in the vault, floor exercise and all-around.
The 1994 ECAC champion in the vault, Gregorski was a three-time ECAC Championship all-around participant and a four-time All-ECAC performer. She was the regional vault champion in 1992, 1993 and 1994.
As a freshman in 1991, Gregorski was ECAC runner-up in the vault. In 1992 she began her three-year run as qualifier for the NCAA Championships qualifying in the all-around and the vault, where she finished 28th in the nation. It was in that event, as the Northeast region champion, that she also qualified for the NCAAs as a junior and a senior.
The winner of the team's Coaches' Award in 1993 and a two-time team most valuable player, Gregorski was an active participant in the UVM's Kids and Kops program all four years. She is married to former UVM baseball player Jay Gregorski '93.
