Jamie Kingsbury '06 | Video Introduction
A two-time NCAA Champion and seven-time All-American, Kingsbury is considered one of the most dominating alpine skiers in UVM skiing's rich history. Kingsbury won the giant slalom at the NCAA Championships as a freshman in 2003 and again as a junior in 2005. She is one of just five skiers in NCAA Skiing Championship history to win the event twice dating back to 1983. During her racing career, Kingsbury finished on the podium (top-3) 40 times in 51 races and dominated the EISA Circuit with 13 wins. As a senior she finished in the top-4 in all but one race during the carnival season as the Catamounts won their 30th EISA title and posted an unbeaten season. Overall, Kingsbury led Vermont to three EISA Championships and a pair of second place finishes in the team standings at the NCAA Ski Championships. She was named the College Skier of the Year by Ski Racing Magazine in 2005 and was honored with UVM's J. Edward Donnelly Award (best senior student-athlete) in 2006. A four-time EISA All-East selection, she earned a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District I Women's At-Large Team as an agricultural and resource entrepreneurship major.
